The black cat by edgar allen Poe

Hello there,

I read another short story by Edgar Allen Poe and it is named the black cat and once again it is by a narrator and again 'tis a unthrustwhorty narrator.

This time it is some kind confession of a man that is heading to the gallows, his story goes as follows. Him and his wife are living together and had several pets, he adopts a cat, well a black cat adopts him with one eye. His wife reminds him that in the past people used to think that black cats be witches in disguise.

Then after a while the relationship sours between the narrator and the cat when he comes home drunk the cat attacks him and he kind of thinks he is possessed by the devil and kills his wife. Bricks his wife in into the house when the cops come looking for her and already wanting to put the cat to death for making him kill his wofe but then surprise surprise the cat was in the tomb! and then gripping and stuff happens.

What think about this story, that according to the stories I've read and a bit a of research I've concluded that this is what he did, write a story that relies on a narrator that cannot be trusted with telling an accurate story and stuff so the ending can be more twisting. Even tough, you might come to expect it from this guy it stil makes you rethink the entire plot before laying aside the book to stop reading. And thats what I personally like it.
