The maze runner: The Scorch Trials (2015)
Hello there,
this is a review that has long been pushed back by me
nothing having the time to type it out. But here I am anyway typing
it out and publishing it.
Once our group, Thomas including, escape the maze in
the last movie they are escorting to what they believe is a sanctuary
and part of the resistance against wicked but ofcourse Thomas has his
suspicions and that gets noticed by this kid that has been hanging
around there the longest.
It has been revealed that they weren't the only maze
and that this operation was for a cure against this disease and this
is the way of trying to save humanity from this disease. Is from the
immunes locked up in the mazes but back to the kid from the previous
paragraph he contacts thomas and leads him trough the vents to what
is loocking strange. Apperently everyone who gets called into this
seperate rooms dissappearsforever! And apart from it being no
overhead vents nobody knows what they're doing.
But ofcourse this spying only increases and eventually
leads to our discovery that the boss of Wicked is still alive and
didn't commit suicide, but the world still ended kind of with the
solar flare and this disease is going about. But the main discovery
here is that they're still in captivity of Wicked! Big schocker I
know so when the boss of Wicked reaveals that she is coming to their
specific base they are coming to get our group they just brought in!
And so they escape!
But first they have to set free the only female of the
group that had been separated from the rest in some way so they try
and succeed, now facing the wasteland caused by the flair in search
of the right arm the rebel group of the world that is fightning
against wicked in military fashion. Trough hicku^s they find them but
get betrayed by Theresa the female they just saved from separation!
Thomas doesn't want to run or fight and gets his arse kicked and
saved and in the end manages to run away into another clifhanger and
there should be another sequel coming up (I looked it up and these
are apparently movie adaptations of books)
My opinion is that I find it kind of strange that it
has to end of another cliffhanger, it seems to try very hard to make
it happen to the people that want to have a sequel to this movie
adaptation and I think it is kind of confusing. Before I started
researching the mazerunner I didn't know that there was a bookseries
of these movies honestly.
Another thing that I don't understand is the betrayal of Theresa, I was pretty sure that she and thomas was going to be married and have children and settle down in this movie but this isn't true because of this betraya that might not even happen I'm afraid. And now all this storyline of fightning against Wicked is almost completly undone by a single betrayal.
I give this movie a 7/10 anyway as I had the feeling of what the actual fuck is going on in here at the end!
