Like with the article of the rise of evil I will publish the entire review and a “gold edition” but first the complete review. I must say beforehand that this book is a bit of a tear jerker. And I am certainly not the touchy type. and by the way, I am skipping the report of the fourth part because I might very well publish this instead and just have one article less for the gold edition :)
Well we start the book with some backstory and in an
orphanage at the same time, the story gets bound together quite
quickly. The story is about two girls that are unlucky (to north
korean standards) and lost their family even tough one of the two
comes from a high ranking family.
They (il sun and gi gyong go ) form a friendship that
would last a lifetime. Il sun is very goodlooking and that is why she
hangs around a guy who calls himself gianni for some reason. And that
is how they get sold to a south korean man because they get tricked
and gi wouldn't let sun go for any reason. Il sun still hopefull that
they would go to china and start a better life there together with
gianni gets dissappointed rather quickly when they found out that
they get sold and are going to be forced to perform sexual acts. Il
sun even gets raped by her “master” and gets pregnant before they
get sold again because of an escape attempt to a japanese guy and
they get transported via boat to seattle where there are put to work
again in a whore house.
There Il sun is forced to undergo an abortus trough
some kind of morning after pills. She develosp a drug addiction she
loses her shit to the boss of this entire operation and gets thrown
out and disappears.
After an attack on this headquarters by a rival gang gi
and cho are also able to escape, tough gi escapes first gets to know
the homeless world and sees that north korea isn't the most developed
country in the world. She looks for il sun but fails, goes to the
local library in her freetime and learns alot about math and natural
science.
One day she finds cho and together they do the same.
Find a job, look for il sun and go to the library. Life goes on and
gi gets picked up by a proffessor because she solved some kind of
mathematical paradox. Gets to explain how she found the solution when
she gets notified that Il sun is in a hospital, they run to the
rescue and they found her laying in her deadbed. Gi suggles her
until she dies.
Gi goes to university after her dead and cries
everytime when she sees a particular girl that looks entirely like
il-sun. Oh and btw, cho is going to marry someone, my theory is that
shes going to marry Gi because it has been hinted that go is in love
with il sun and stuff.
My opinion is that this book is very readable. I'm
giving this an 9,5/10 because il sun died! I didn't want her to die
but every happy ending needs to have a dark side I suppose.
This is a book partitioned in parts to highlight the course of the story, but it seems like it doesn't change the main characters of Gyong-ho and Il sun a single bit like Beneath the skin by Nicci French did
So it follows Gi and Il sun in North korea by some reason both lost their family (gi because of the work camps and il sun because her father was already old and her mother became sick after her brother fled to china.
They're now in the orphanage where they became the bestest of friends and really went trough tick and thin with eachother, while Gi was the quiet one and underdeveloped body wise il sun is an absolute vamp and extravagant. Il sun gets captivated with a human trafficker and she gets gi along side with them to the south, still under the impression that il sun was going to have a better life together with this gianni.
They ofcourse get trough the DMZ and they get sold there to some other guy and their papers are taken away from them.
This part is absolutly heartbreaking to read that people get such hardship in their factories and there is still some humanity left even in north korea between people of the same lot. The lowest case has to man the factories and get the quota's if they don't they get ofcourse punished and this friendship, is also hearthwarming in my opinion.

So in this part, our girls Jasmine, gyon-ho, cho and Il sun get into the container because they got sold for the second time, honestly I expected them to end up in the states where they could finally start to build up their lifes.
But no, this isn't the case. They got sold to a gang based in Seattle called the blue talon and are forced into sexslavery once again. Same system as in the last part but with a little bit more freedoms like they get to keep their tips and they can buy things with their tips. but they cannot go outside for any reason at all. Gyong or Gi as she is called in the book, learns english by spending the little free time she has watching television. but she stays the same, focussing on our 2 main girls gyong ho and il sung the latter one changed completly with all the drug use she became ugly, gi still loves her and tries to take care of her like she did for gi when they were still in north korea.
Il sun gets send away because she got a psychotic break because of the drugs she had been taking to keep her sane the boss kicked out 2 teeth before the forewoman send her away tough, gi wanted to run after her but before mentioned forewoman kept her from doing that.
For the first time since they ended up in the orphanage they're now separated.
I think this part was absolutly a tearjerker but I'm not that sensitive! There were ninja's cutting onions in my reading room! I swear

Hello there!
This is unusual for me to have such a regular posting schedual I know but this book plus the last movie allowed me to have one, as I am typing I am viewing the second part of Hitler the rise of evil so I will be publishing 2 or 3 more articles about that movie series later on.
But we are here now to review the second part of All woman and Springtime and not Hitler, tough he wouldn't be outright out of the picture that the book has painted.
Il sun and gi are sold by gianni together with a girl called cho. To south korea and are forced to work in the sex industry, the content of the second part is very nsfw and detail is somethimes astoneshing and needed for this book. but kind of at the end the cycle of this book repeats itself. They get sold because an escape attempt to a japanese person, his nationality isn't mentioned in the book but I know he is a japanese guy because he cut off part of his pinky finger.
The yakuza, do this to say they're sorry to their bosses and they date this tradition to the samoerai!
This part of the book gave me the chills because it hits you harder than a goddamned train right in the face with the condition not only fleeing north korean females have to endure but also other females have to suffer in the sex industry. I give this part an 9/10 because it is so hard hitting!
