The Judas code by Derek Lambert intro and part 1 review

Hello there,

I'm reading this book now so view this as the announcement asswell. But because I've read the introduction and the first part already which is not so much for what the book really is and doesn't give me much insight in the story.

So the introduction, is about a writer that wants to write a novel about the Judas Code, the Code that kept the Soviet union from actually knowing or seeing that Nazi Germany wanted to invade them (as in the soviet union). But he is being harrased by this secret agent in his writing appartment in London.

By the way here, is the link to the last article about a book. It's called Sanctus and it is written by Simon Toyne.

How this fits into the story I don't know yet, because in the first part, we switch to Viktor who lives in the Soviet Union. He ofcourse has a girlfriend that is critical of the regime and that is very dangeruos in that regime (stalin's regime). The girlfriend who's name i'm not remembering at the moment takes him to a spot somewhere in soviet russia where people are being shot for the state.

Then in the second and last chapter in this part we switch to churchill's private live, how this fits into the story don't ask me, but we see how he supposedly tought about the current political climate the book is set in and how he thinks like me that giving sudetenland to Nazi Germany was a mistake. And so the first part of this book ends, a bit in a downer for me but nonetheless I will continue reading this book until it is finished
