Shutter Island (2010)
Hello there,
this is a movie that I'm happy about clearing from my to see list for a long time. Because I've heard it was good. The dread whilst watching this movie was good.
The movie starts with 2 marshals entering an insane asylumon an island not long after the second world war. One of the marshalls is expierenced and served overseas and the other one is a trainee or something.
They're there to investigate the dissappearance of a patient which could not have gotten far because its on an Island.During the investigations the Marshal played by leonardo dicaprio gets loads and loads of hints about his past like music that plays that was playing during a liberation of a concentrationcamp he helped liberate
then it starts triggering him about his personal life, how his wife and children died and stuff, but more in hints and expositions in dreaming scene (which makes it seemingly ties it to inception?) about his family life.
In the end it is clear that he was the patient all along. And we don't get to see in the end what happens to him but I guess he gets a lobotomy.
My opinion about this movie it seems that it was a good movie and worthy to watch, when watching you aren't getting to steep into hey hey hey this is the patient and this is a fake investigation! it comes rather slowly and the thing is at the end of the movie you can't imagine that you tought otherwise at the beginning of the movie. I give this movie a 8/10.
