Dunkirk (2017). The real blockbuster this time
Hello, this time I have found a copy of Dunkirk and I've watched. Not Operation Dunkirk that I reviewed eirlier also set in the same time and about the same battle, but having a totally different focus and ofcourse having a different narative
This movie however, is focusing on what happened on the beaches of dunkirk, the air and on the sea. There are a couple of storylines in this movie and what is happening at the same time. The confusion is pretty high, we see that the royal air force is doing its best to save the soldiers on the beaches while the germans are harrasing them asswell but in actuality they were too spread out and also stacked more inland to help the French.
The small pool act is acted upon and a shit ton of small boats (pleasure yachts) sail to dunkirk to pick up soldiers. We follow one such boat about a family and their journey to dunkirk they see alot of warfare going on, at points were the storylines come together at a couple of points. The entire movie is confusing as the real time events and it really goes along way to capture the feelings of the soldiers and the people involved in this operation and at the same time the feeling that the french must have had.
Which stayed behind to give the english a tactical advantage and for honour ofcourse.
My opinion about this movie is that it is that the movie is kind of confusing to follow all the movieplots happening at once but they kind of blend together in a very nice way and it is kind of enjoyable to watch. I am going to split the points giving into two parts namely, in terms of movie making I give the movie 10/10. in terms of this category this movie is so near perfectly that it is easier to give the movie a ten out of ten banana's insted of a nine with a gazillion nines behind it and be completly accurate. In terms of story, acuracy and emotions that come across I give this movie a 9,5/10! So this is my review on this movie
