Gerald's game (2017, movie)

So, I've watched this movie based on a stephen King Novel produced by netflix (still not getting sponsered by netflix I promise) but I am going to review this movie as this is the purpose of this blog,

So you guys now the drill, first an overview of the story and then my opinion about this movie, this movie is psychological horror. And I must say that the most on the character in the movie. We have one storyteller a female that has to survive in a dire situation.

A woman and her husband go on a trip to their vacation home in a dense forest where nobody lives closeby and there is a stray dog running around which they almost ran over coming over there from their real home. They're all stocked up with very qualitative foods (only the best foods).

They have their typical couple problems found in these kinds of stories like these. The husband has a very good career the female, wel it is not very clear what she does with her time actually it is not said at all in the movie what she does. But the husband isn't attracted to her anymore at all and has to her at all. And has to take viagra pills to do the ahems with her if you know what I mean.
They want to do the Ahems in their bed and do some kinky stuff. I mean they want to do that, she has been chained up with handcuffs to the bed. And they start to fight verbally and the thing is that the husband dies of a heart attack during it and falls dead.
This is were the horror starts, she is left there alone and the stray dog from before walks in because they left the door open.

The dog starts to eat the husband and the wife, or the storyteller whatever you prefer starts to hallucinate her dead husband some sort of personification of herself and starts talking with them. They help her to solve her problem, but don't with her new problem there seems to be an intruder but you don't know if it is even real as our storyteller doesn't even know for herself if this intruder is real or not.

She escapes in a gruesome manner. And gets picked up by strangers and brought up to the hospital where it is revealed that she is some kind of storyteller. She isn't punished at all because of coroners report that the heart attack was a long time coming and stuff.

My opinion of this movie is that this movie seems to portray in detail how Stepehen King's mind works on screen and how his books come accross in my mind. But the thing is that this ending of the movie is kind of what? I think that the ending goes over to quickly and that the trauma of the woman aren't explored enough. My score for this movie is 7,5/10
