The way back (2010)

a review of a movie that I watched a couple of days ago, so the memory in the way of characters is a little bit wonkey. But I will review it anyway! I really liked this movie.
So the movie is set, apart from the beginning that is just an explenation how the domino is going to fall and lead to the escape of our group of people) in a gulag or at least until the escape of our main people. In this golag there are barely any guards, way to few for the amount of prisoners but this is because of the location. The gulag is in Siberia, and nature is the enemy of the escapees. And for some more psychological messyness by the leader of the guards when he stated that there would be a bounty on their heads if they escape.
Basically there is also an american in the gulag and a couple of other guys that are also willing to escape, the polish guy that led the escape attempt because this other guy who gives the polish guy hope but didn't go trough so he plans it himself. And takes a couple of people with him they have a lot of problems with surviving and they have kind of lack of food and they loose a guy because of nightblindness and the freezing cold of siberia, they give him a christian burial in the woods. They have to continue tough.
They have a shortage of food but they keep finding it eventually people get sick presumably from the starvation and the lack of water (it was already spring) and they have to get to a certain lake to get to the trans siberian railway to escape to mongolia. The polish guy leaves the group to find the lake on his own and returns, they get to the lake and right there they find humans living there, believing that there is really a bounty on their head they're afraid of anything that moves.
They get something from a passingby witch doctor for their musqutos and there is nothing to be afraid of and they're go trough, they find a girl who travels with her. And she goes along and shes the next to die in the deserts of Mongolia which they have discovered that is now also "communist" so they have to travel trough China to tibet so they can arrive in India and escape to safety.
This is the basic plot line of the movie and it is very simple (small set of characters and such) and I like it beccoming up cause of it! I had alot of feels coming up. and such. I give this movie actually a 9,5 and I would really advice to you that you watch it! its on netflix and you'll be sicking to your screen for the entire duration of the movie and your heart will be touched!
