Braveheart (1995)

Hello there,

I have kinda reawatched the movie so that issues a review. I am also going to add a youtube video on this movie to spice the entire article up a bit.
First of all the video will be pointing out the inaccuracies of the movie in the history deparment (and no it isn't going to be a video about how they didn't have kilts back in the day the movie is set in)

But let us now continue to the movie, a quick plot summary is that the english king wants dominion over scotland because he wants to show the french how strong they really are, and basically is very insecure about the relations that he lets his son marry the daughter of french nobility (it is very strongmy implied that the son is gay and that the king of england has to make children with the woman himself)

but I'm running ahead of the story, it starts with the father of william wallace nearly escaping death by hanging by the english crown upon arriving at a meeting place where all the nobles are invited in an attempt from the english king to usurp the scottish throne. He returns home (the father, the brother and william himself) where his father, decides to fight back.
All what we see next is william's brother and father coming back dead and being buried, so he goes with his uncle who looks a bit like a noble, and learns alot.
We skip to William living in a village being in love with a woman who later gets killed because of a English lord having a right that didn't exist at all in history and this makes him go mad a bit, he starts a full blown rebellion where he wins battle after battle until he gets captured.
He gets tortured quite heavely for scotland, never asking for mercy and I hate the open ending that we get.

Below you will find the video I was talking about eirlier

My opinion about this  movie is kind of boring and it doesn't s-deserve any hapy whatsoever, I am not anti scottis independant or anti scotland or anti or pro england but cmon so much inaccuracies (after you watched the video, so I will give this movie is a 4,5/10
