Diablo 3: introduction and the first act (description and review)

Diablo 3 is a hack and slash rpg, like its predecessors, set in Sanctuary. A world created by rebel angels and demons seeking refuge from the eternal conflict, using the worldstone to create it.And Yes you heard it correctly, Video games are also culture. So it can come on this blog!

Storyline

!!!!Fair warning this is containing spoilers!!!!

It features the Nephalem, a powerfull humanbeing come in action to give the forces of evil a good run for their money by exterminating their forces and killing its leaders all for the sake of saving the world.

The game is divided into “acts” , or as I would call them chapters (lets be real in here, its kinda the same).

In the first act (or chapter) we see our hero arriving in New Tristram in search of the fallen star that fell on the old cathedral of (old) Tristram. This turned out to be a fallen angel, the arch-angel of justice Tyreal, who literally fell out of heaven (to bad he wasn't a pretty girl, otherwise the cheesy pick up line “did it hurt when you fell out of heaven” wouldn't be that cheesy when used on him)You encounter the undead armies of the skeleton king, who has been awakened by the fallen star for some reason. Which you will hack trough willingly for the loot!

This act is quite dark and quite a good opener. I sometimes play it all over again just for the feel of it, but it gets boring after a while.

The quests in act one are as follows:

• The Fallen Star - A star has fallen in New Tristam. Protect the town from the vile dead that have risen since it fell.

2. The Legacy of Cain - Deckard Cain was lost in the cathedral when it was struck by the falling star. Discover his fate.
   

3. A Shattered Crown - The crown of the mad King Leoric has been lost to the ages. Find it so that you may destroy the Skeleton King.
   

4. Reign of the Black King - Put an end to the Skeleton King to free New Tristram from his army of the dead.
   

5. Sword of the Stranger - The man who fell from the sky remembers only a shattered sword of power. Find the pieces of the sword to restore his mind.
   

6. The Broken Blade - Find a way to retrieve the second piece of the Stranger’s sword from the ancient ruins known as the Drowned Temple.
   

7. The Doom in Wortham - Retrieve the third and final piece of the Stranger’s sword from Wortham before the Coven lays claim to it.
   

8. Trailing the Coven - The Coven has killed Deckard Cain and taken the angel who fell from the sky. Hunt them down and make them pay for their actions.
   

9. The Imprisoned Angel - Save the angel from mad King Leoric’s torture chambers and reunite him with his sword, no matter the cost.
   

Return to New Tristam - The fallen angel is Tyrael, the Archangel of Justice. Meet him in New Tristram to set out for the great city of Caldeum.

My opinion and other irritating stuff

My opinion is that this act has a fairly dark them upon it and I personally think that this does it justice. This is also the reason why I liked this game in the process while playing it, tough in the next chapters it does get more cheery when next to that it is also going down again
